About Robin Hulce
Robin has a heart for people and desires to help them with the struggles they’re going through by pointing them to the Bible and God’s character for answers, truth, and hope. As a former contractor, heavy equipment operator, and business owner, he has a friendly, authentic, and consistent approach to counseling that will put you at ease. A near lifelong Christian and student of God’s Word, Robin is passionate about “speaking the truth in love” as described by Ephesians 4:15.
Robin was born and raised in Hawaii where he began his relationship with Christ and started working with his father at an early age. In his teen years, he experienced a dark period in his life, making choices that could have produced severe consequences. He credits the one-on-one counsel and care he received during this time as instrumental in directing him back into fellowship with God.
His Family
As a young man, Robin married his wife Shelley, and they have celebrated 38 years of marriage. While they have experienced many of the challenges couples face, they are as committed to each other as they are committed to Christ. Together, Robin and Shelley have raised four boys and three girls, all of whom are following Christ and are active in ministry.
While we may not think of ministers as wearing hard hats and operating heavy equipment, as a contractor, Robin ministered to those around him through prayer, encouragement, and sharing the simple, sufficient truth of God’s Word.
Training and Certification
After years of encouraging men informally, Robin now counsels men formally. It is his passion to show men the answers the Bible has for all areas of life. He is certified by the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD), he studies under and has been mentored by Arnold Fruchtenbaum with Ariel Ministries, and continues his training with multiple biblical counseling disciplines under the direction of Community Bible Church and her elders. In addition, he has been counseling men at U-Turn for Christ for the last couple of years.
