Could our waiting on God be unnecessarily difficult because we don’t know what we are waiting for? Our paradigm is this world, with all its temptations. In particular, our free society, with its lewdness and leisure constantly vying for our attention.

Doesn’t Scripture tell us that if we are in Christ we are not of this world? Doesn’t Scripture tell us that we have died and our life is hidden with Christ in God? Doesn’t Scripture tell us to set our minds on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God, and not to set our minds on the things of this earth? Wouldn’t our waiting be easier if we got to know who and what we are waiting for? Wouldn’t a consistent, proactive time in His Word help?

I love You God. I trust You God. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Thank You God.
