Why do we doubt?

Is it because we’ve been let down by people or things we trusted? People will fail us, even those we love sometimes. Institutions may also fail us. What if we put our trust in the One that never changes, is always there, always secure, and created all of this anyway? Wouldn’t that shake the foundations of our doubt? And force doubt to decrease? Wouldn’t that even make doubt go away? Let’s look to Jesus — the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

“Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—He could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now He’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility He plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!” –Hebrews 12:2-3 (The Message)

I love You God. I trust You God. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Thank You God.
