Early in my 20s, I heard a definition of fear using it as an acronym: False Education Appearing Real.
This understanding of fear has played out well throughout my life. When Scripture tells us that the truth will set you free, and perfect love casts out fear, (John 8:32, 1 John 4:18) that is exactly right. As I become educated to the fullness of who and what God is and what we are in Him, this reality brings about joy, thankfulness, rest, and peace. Fear is replaced with worship. Thank You, Jesus, You have overcome the world and given us Your precious and magnificent promises so that by them we may be partakers of the divine nature, (2 Peter 1:4).
I love You God. I trust You God. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Thank You God.
