I hate cream corn, and I’m pretty sure I hate cooked carrots (my mom keeps trying to convince me otherwise). It is probably because after eating them when I was young I threw them up, not a pretty picture. Early in my life living in Hawaii, I hated people who would try to sell me drugs. I lost many hours of mental turmoil thinking bad thoughts of revenge. As I look back on that mental chaos, it’s like looking at that stuff I threw up. Now when I am tempted to hate someone, I see them as a brother or sister, a soul created by God. I try to practice what God’s word says, “love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you,” (Luke 6:27-28). Thank You God. Lord, forgive me for hating my brother.

I love You God. I trust You God. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Thank You God.
